About Us

East Misowka Electrical Foundation has been providing service to East Misowka, West Misowka, Flaring County, Regnad County, and Petersburg since 1968.

We are a non-profit organization that enables the deployment of electrical
workers throughout our supported counties. In cooperation with The Will
Fund, Inc. we have been able to help over 173,000 people find their calling
in electrical work through us.

Our History

EMEF started all the way back in 1968, before East and West Misowka split and
when the waterway was just a tiny stream. A man named George Chainey VI started
the company because of the crumbling electrical architecture in Misowka.
He hired workers from Petersburg and gave them additional training, who started
work for Misowka. He was able to hire about 150 workers by 1970. By 1975, he had
gathered 3000 workers. At this time, he requested support from The Will Fund,
to expand his operation into Petersburg and Regnad County. He had about 23,400
by 1980. In 1982, Chainey VI was killed in an airplane accident. After this, his
son, George Chainey VII took over the company. In 1984 when Misowka split, the
company continued to support both East and West Misowka. In 1989, the company
expanded to Flaring County. By the turn of the century, EMEF had 148,000 workers.

That brings us to today, where we have 173,000 workers. We will plan to celebrate
our 40th anniversary on November 18th, 2008.
